This letterbox is planted on Mt. Tam.
Directions: From Hwy 101 take the exit for Hwy 1 toward Mt. Tam. The road will take a couple of turns so watch for signs. At the Pantoll ranger station, head up the hill to the right. At the Rock Spring sign, go to the right up the mountain following East Crest Blvd.
You will pass a road on the left going to a facility shared by the FAA and Air Force among others. From here go .7 miles to a paved pullout where several trails intersect the road.
Go back to Miller's Trail on the same side. Follow this trail down the stairs. At the 7th rounded wooden stop look to your right. The box is hiding between the rocks and the root mass.
Watch out for prickers and be sure to cover well when you put it back.
