Box replace on 8/13/06 with the original stamp.
Box is missing again as of 2/4/2007

Find your way to the Palo Alto Baylands Preserve at
the end of Embarcadero Road. The preserve is reached
by taking a left turn when Embarcadero Road comes to a
tee. From the parking area on your left, start
walking counter clockwise around the duck pond. After
the last parking area ends, continue on the gravel
path.

There's a sign on your left identifying the fenced in
area as a Migratory Bird Sanctuary. The bridge
straight ahead in the distance is the Dumbarton
Bridge.

Walk past 1 picnic table, and then just before the 2nd
picnic table, take the little cutoff path that goes
off to the left. This takes you to a bench. When
you're sitting on the bench you should be facing
east/southeast, with the control tower for the Palo
Alto Airport at your back. (If you're at the right
bench, there is a big
old stump with lots of roots on
your right.) See the bush about 20 feet in front of
you at the fence line? Look for a pile of branches
near the base of the bush and you will find what you
seek. Please hide well since this is a well traveled
area with many children around.

The preserve is open from sunrise to sunset. They do
lock the gates so make sure you are finished with your
visit before dark.
