Our Winsome Wood Duck landed near the Kern River in search of feathered friends.
Drive By. Be careful of fast-moving traffic. You will be very visible.
From Kernville, drive north on the Sierra Highway 19 1/2 miles. Cross the Johnsondale Bridge and park in the lot. Walk back across the old bridge. Take Trail 33E30 65 paces southeast, parallel to the road. Look under rocks in center of metal loop. Do not cross the road.
