Status of Mini-box: Box has gone missing - Retired.
The "Daffy Duck" mini-box is located in Sequim Bay State Park, near Sequim, WA and Olympic N.P.. The park has camping, hiking, fishing, boat launch, picnic area and a playground.
Directions:
From Port Angeles, go east on Hwy 101. After Sequim, the park is on the left about 4 miles. Turn in, pay fee, and go to parking straigh ahead for the picnic area (near site #86).
To the Mini-box:
Walk back up the road, turn left on road going to group camp area. Pass the hiker-biker camp area on your right and continue on this road until you reach the trail (before the creek). Turn right on the trail and walk down and over the creek. Continue on until the next bridge and cross over the creek again. Go up the stairs 8 stair steps. Stop. Find the cedar tree to your left. The mini-box is at the base of this tree, facing the trail, in a notch with a rock covering it. Please re-cover it well when done.
