This walk is 1.7 miles one way (not strenuous), to a beautiful black sand beach.
The first 1/2 mile is paved and is wheelchair accessible. After that, it is a dirt fire road.
Bikes and horses are allowed but apparently not pets.
***********Note: I got a message from a park ranger that these boxes have been removed! Too bad!!! This is a beautiful spot though and still worth a trip out to see the beach so I will leave the directions below. I have deleted the clues.
Directions:
From Hwy 101 take the Stinson Beach/Hwy 1 exit. Go towards Stinson beach. Take a left onto Tennessee Valley Road (which is the first small street on your left and has a fruit stand on the corner). Follow this all the way to the end and park in that parking lot.
