The box is missing.
Hailed by The New York Times as "a lesson on how to connect the eye to heart and mind," the Skirball Cultural Center has established itself as one of the world's most dynamic Jewish cultural institutions, and among the most prominent cultural venues in the United States (for more info log on to www.skirball.org).
To find the letterbox:
Take gloves or a small rake with you.
Leave the Skirball Center and walk up hill on Sepulveda Boulevard to the road that branches off Sepulveda Blvd just north of the Center's highest parking lot. Walk up the road to the man-high box (transformer). Turn right at the transformer and walk down the road until after about 40 paces there is a lamp post (with a cylindrical cement base) to your right and a tree to your left. The LB is at the back of that tree, in the ground, covered with leaves.
It is very important to cover the box well, i.e. completely, with debris.
