MISSING
Located at Bemis Woods - Ogden Ave. Entrance.
A good dog walking preserve.
On a warm dry day in early November we hiked most of the trails in Bemis Woods looking for letterbox spots. The squirrels were very active and the crunching of the leaves made them obvious. You may not see nearly as many on this short walk, but here's to all you nutty guys! All 67 of you squirrels!
CLUES
Park at the far northeast end near marker 8. Take the path that has the magnificent dead tree near the beginning of the trail. Pass the pump, go downhill and turn right just before the bridge. Follow the orange trail along the river for a ways. You will soon see a trail marker on your right. Go about 30 paces (steps) further and find a convenient, low, “natural bench” on which you can take a rest. Look in the hollow on the back side for the brown box. Remember to re-hide it well!
Please be sure to re-bag everything properly, snap the lid tightly and tuck the box into the hollow of the log so it can't be seen through the opening. Thanks.
Bring your own ink - any color will do but we like brown.
CMoon and Kookaburra
(with a little help from Doodle the burr-ball).
WINTER NOTE - If there is snow on the ground, please make additional snow "disturbances" away from the box to help keep the box location secret from non-boxers. Thanks.
