The Canebrake Ecological Reserve is approximately 7,200-acres and supports hundreds of bird species on the property, as well as numerous mammal, reptile, and butterfly species. While popular with bird watchers and hunters heading through the reserve to hunting approved areas, most of the reserve is closed to the public for wildlife conservation. There is gate along the road to access the reserve and it's trail system. While the gate wasn't locked while we were there to replant the box, I thought it safer to plant outside the fence to ensure access for boxers.
Head to Canebrake Ecological Reserve and park near the sign. Box is behind the first railroad tie fence post to the left of the sign under a single rock.
