Take H-16 north from Kenton to Bob Lake Campground. This is a great little campground, rustic, with great swimming. Bring your canoe or kayak and spend a couple days!
Find the Day Use area / boat launch parking. The trailhead for the Beaver Lodge trail begins here.
Begin your hunt on this fine trail,
Learn of birch, aspen and burls,
Test your skill on identifying trees,
study the yellow birch, most of all...
Climb the hill, past the place of respite,
You want the pothole on your right.
Yikes, now look westward whence you came,
Look 'neath a spidery yellow birch for the
treasure you wish to gain!
