The Eldo Brewpub is a sunny place for shady people, providing food, drinks, and nightly entertainment for Crested Butte locals and visitors since 1996. The taproom features house brews and several guest beers from all over, so come try a few after finding this box on the Judd Falls Trail.
Directions:
For the brewery, go to 215 Elk Ave. For the box, take Gothic Road (135) north past Mt. Crested Butte. Keep straight on gravel road past the Snodgrass Trailhead parking lot and descend into the East River Valley for a total of 8.45 miles just past the town of Gothic. Park at the signed Copper Creek lot on the right side. There is an upper parking lot area accessible by SUV another .5 miles up the trail.
Clues:
Walk up dirt road about 0.5 mile to the Judd Falls Trailhead and walk on it another 0.5 mile to the falls. At sign on left saying "Dangerous cliffs", go right off trail 20 steps up to Y-pine tree. LB is at left back base under a rock & needles.
