NOTE: I pulled this box, as a geocache was placed in almost the same spot and did not care to loose the carving. If you would like to submit me your answers...I will email you a virtual image.

This is a wonderful film noir, reportedly Hitchcock's personal favorite, filmed almost entirely on location is Santa Rosa. Made in 1943, Hitchcock chose to use a real town to beat the wartime production cost limits and did most of the night shots in a single night before black out orders took effect. It has a wonderful cast, especially Joseph Cotten, Patricia Collinge, Henry Travers and a cameo by a young Hume Cronyn.

Hitchcock tapped Thornton Wilder to write the screenplay and there are some wonderful twists on small town values and life. Unfortunately the centerpiece of downtown Santa Rosa, the Courthouse, is no longer... but many locations are intact. This box will take you by some. You will need to watch the movie first.....

Once you figure out the clues, this box is essentially a drive by. Available 24/7, but I think it is funner in the daylight hours so you can explore this area.
