Terrain Difficulty: Easy (slight slope, 1.5 miles RT)
Status: alive
Just like Texas, Arizona attracts visitors from up north trying to escape the cold in winter. This includes both people and birds, and you can find both in Madera Canyon, along with this box.
Directions:
From Continental Rd go southeast on E Whitehouse Canyon Rd for 7.3 miles, then right on Madera Canyon Rd to its end at Mt Wrightson Picnic Area and park by the Super Trail near restrooms.
Clues:
Walk behind restrooms to Super Trail & go up it about 0.75 mi to dry stream bed with alligator juniper on right at near side. Go right off trail 10 steps to juniper leaning to right. LB is at its base under a rock & leaves.
