This box is to commemorate the extraordinary life and service of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg. Justice Ginsberg was the first Jewish woman and the second woman to serve on the court and was a tireless advocate for gender equality and women's rights. Justice Ginsberg passed away in September of 2020.
Priester's Pond Preserve is located at the intersection of the North and State Roads, opposite the Liberty Oak. Special features are the sunsets over the water and the spillway at the dam. Also frequently seen: roosting osprey and belted kingfishers, plus sunning painted turtles. In the autumn the pond reflects the scarlet leaves of the surrounding beetlebung trees, creating a memorable view.
From the trail head take the first fork to the right which will take you to a rustic bench overlooking the pond. Box is hidden to the right of the bench behind an old log and under a rock and leaf debris.
