Old Man Rest is dedicated to the Bill Fisherman of the Outer Banks, which include my wife's family. This box is located near the beach in Frisco.
Directions & Clues:
From Hwy 12 in Frisco, take Billy Mitchell Rd toward the airport and campground. Pass the airport. At the campground, take the right road heading for the beach.
OPTIONS:
1) if you want to drive onto beach, you need to take precautions for doing so, then you can follow these clues:
At intersection with inside rd, continue straight and go over the large dune and down onto the beach. Go left and down the beach about 100 yards until you see a 4x4 post in the dunes on the left. Park
Walk to the post and up over the dune on the trail. Then down and cross Inside road. At boardwalk, go to first support post on right side. Box is under boardwalk next to the post, under sand.
2) If you do NOT want to rick driving on the beach, then follow these clues: At intersection with Inside Rd, turn left and go past first trail that cross real soo, then stop at second trail (you will see boardwalk to your left). At boardwalk, go to first support post on right side. Box is under boardwalk next to the post, under sand.
