This area will be inaccessible during winter months due to snow. Please check road conditions before you begin. You will need a California Adventure Pass to park here, so be sure and purchase one ahead of time at the ranger station or in town.
Take Hwy #2 into Wrightwood and after ranger station (Angeles Forest Information Center), veer RIGHT to Palmdale/Jackson Lake towards Hwy #138.
Continue down Hwy #2 towards Palmdale to Mescal Picnic Area and park in lot.
#1 - (Retired) Walk down boardwalk until you reach the end then follow path on right down the hill. When you reach the first old stone fountain, veer RIGHT down path towards Picnic Table #1. There is an oak tree directly next to topped off tree. Box is hidden under bark.
#2 - Go back up the path, turn RIGHT and walk past fountain and past restroom. When you reach Picnic Table #8, go past #8 to hollowed out log which is closer to Picnic Table #7. Inside the log is your box.
