At the summit of road 10 as you are entering Indian Valley from Hayfork, you will see a road on the right (to Butter Creek) and on the left 3N08.
Pull over into the left turnout.
This is the East Tule Trail, an old jeep road that is suitable for short jeeps and those of stout hearts!
It's an 'intermediate' 5 mile hike to Plummer Peak Lookout.
A great place to bring your best 4-legged friends for an outing. Be sure to bring a leash to keep your dog from chasing off after any wildlife you might encounter!
To find the letterbox: stand by the road# sign ( at the start of the trail/road) and walk ESE 16 paces to a 3' in diameter Pine tree hiding behind a much smaller Douglas fir.
The letterbox is at the base of the tree.
