Golden Anniversary – Salmon
This letterbox is 1 of 4 placed while on a cruise celebrating my parents Golden wedding anniversary. All stamps were carved by their 15 year old grandson. Please help take care of the box as we do not live in Alaska.
Ketchikan Alaska – near port where Princess cruise ships dock.
Across the street from the port parking is a very skinny sidewalk with lots of traffic going by.
Go to sidewalk directly across from metal sign at port that states 7’0” height restrictions for cars (sign is for cars parking at the port)
Once on the sidewalk face the water and of your left you should see Tongass Dockstore and a blue building which says Masonic Temple. On the right you can see the Ketchikan visitor center on the dock.
Go to One way street sign and take 6 steps toward Masonic Temple. There is more than 1 one-way street sign so make sure you can see all the visual cues (tongass, Masonic temple, visitor store, height sign).
At an angle in the sidewalk where it turns go into the garden to the rock wall.
Just before the wall is a pile of rocks on the ground.
Letterbox is hidden under the rocks
