Spring Lake Park in Santa Rosa can be accessed through at least two official park entrances. However, the proper goosey entrance for you is via Violetti Drive and here is the website wherein you can check out the map:

On a pretty spring day at Spring Lake where and when many geese like to hang out, new letterboxers, the Yinyang Geese, and I hid a couple of boxes. The Wild Goose Gooseberry Chase Letterbox can be found here:

Drive or walk down the road past the fee kiosk down the hill. Park and make your way to the NE side of the parking lot. Locate the paved walking/biking path that skirts the lake. You can join it any number of places, but I used the one on the NE side admonishing me about unauthorized vehicles. Start walking away from the main part of the lake on this curving path, initially east. Shortly you’re probably going to be in the mood for a few chin-ups. Good for you! Right after this turn into the little path. Walk until you’ve reached the third wooden board on your way. Stop. Look east and to your left about 16 steps and go find your Wild Goose Gooseberry Chase prize directly behind that tree.

This area gets a lot of action, so please be discreet. Bag and close everything tightly and thanks for coming.
