VisionQuest’s roots are in the Arizona desert back in 1973 helping trouble teens. Arizona is also the site from which the first VisionQuest Wagon Train began its cross-county trek in 1976.
Today, VisionQuest operates an outdoor adventure oriented residential program that serves both boys and girls, and a network of community-based group homes for boys in Phoenix and Tucson. All programs emphasize structured learning, academics, cognitive-behavioral development, social skills, and life skills training to improve social functioning and address problematic behaviors.
VisionQuest’s Arizona programs accept young people ages 12-18 who typically are placed by Juvenile Court, the Arizona Department of Economic Security (DES), or another child-serving agency.
To find the box, head to North East corner of 5th Street and Swan Rd. where you will see the VisionQuest Wagon. Walk to the East side of the Vision Quest Building and locate the staircase. From the sidewalk, reach over the hedge where the staircase landing touches the building. There on the underside of the landing you will find the letterbox. It has been magnetized to attaché to the stairwell. Keep your eyes peeled as you will be directly in front of a bank of window the VisionQuest office.
