If you remember the name of the town of Chico, maybe you are willing to go a little further. Go north on out of Chico about miles and past the . You are headed to toward the . This rock wall is right out of a Robert Frost poem. And somewhere along the base of the wall, on the north side of the driveway, there is a rock that has no business being in a California hayfield. It's a piece of volcanic glass, and until 1947 it was a paperweight on my office desk. There is a tin box underneath it.
When you find it, remember, hope is a good thing. Maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies. I will be hoping that this letter finds you, and finds you well.

Your friend,

If you are looking for this letterbox, please wait, as someone has moved it, and I am trying to find it and then will update the above location so you can find it.
