The box is in Sabino Canyon Recreation Area (USFS) in Northeast Tucson.
Directions: Tanque Verde Road east to Sabino Canyon Road. North on Sabino Canyon Road (stay to the right) to Sabino Canyon Recreation Area on your right. There is a fee to park if you don't have a season pass or other honored park pass.
Park in lot and walk north to the paved road past the Visitor's Center. Follow paved road until you descend down a large hill. At the bottom of the hill on the right is the trailhead for Bluff Trail #51 (brown sign at trailhead). Take trail down and continue East on trail past large rock with shallow cave to the end of trail. At end of trail is a stone house-like structure on the right. You will see 2 trail signs close to structure. One for Bluff Trail and another for Sabino Lake Trail #30. Take the Sabino Lake Trail #30 (path to the left of the stone structure). There is a skinny saguaro on the right side of the trail. Go 10 paces past this skinny saguaro. The box is located under the largest rock on the left side of the trail. Box is covered by rocks under this largest rock, so look closely.
