On our way home to the central US, following an excellent kayaking adventure out of Port McNeill, we stopped to plant a momento of our trip in Nanaimo. To find it, go to the corner of "Ringing Kettle Road" and 3rd and park in the nearby lot.
At the pedestrian entrance style, note the large oak on your right. Continue walking north, counting 8 more oaks on the right.
Notice 2 medium-sized boulders on your right. Sit on the dimpled one to the left, facing the oak tree. Reach under the boulder, using your right hand, and look under the reddish flat rock. Watch for passersby and be discrete. Stamp up and carefully replace all stones.
