Ucluelet has numerous trails and bike paths, far more than nearby Tofino! You can pick up a "Wild Pacific Trail" map at the various trailheads.
In Ucluelet head south on Pennisular Rd and turn right at Coast Guard Rd and head to the parking lot.
Walk toward the Amphitrite Lighthouse. From here the trail will head both east and west, both sections are spectacular, so you will want to do both legs of the loop. To find the box head east or left from the lighthouse. Continue on to the Majestic Ocean Kayaking bench. Have a seat on the most easterly edge and note the prone logs across the path. The mossy one hides the box. There is a stump on the left and a naked log on the right. Tie your shoe on the mossy log, look down, you will see some small rocks. The box is behind the rocks and under the mossy log. You do not need to step off the trail! Watch the trail and pick your time carefully as this is a VERRRRRY busy spot. After rehiding return to the lighthouse or if you continue on this path you will return to the parking lot.
