Status of Mini-box: Alive and Well on 7/20/2008
The "Chip" minibox is located in Lake Catherine SP southeast of Hot Springs. This park offers camping, lodges, playgrounds, lake fishing and swimming, and hiking trails.
Directions: From I-30, exit #97 and go north 12 miles on Hwy 171. Follow signs to park. Once in, go to visitor center and get trail map. Now drive to "Trail Head" near the Amphitheater.
To the Mini-box:
Take the "Dam Mountain" trail toward the lake. As you are going along the lake shore, you will come to a suspension bridge. Cross over. At far end, circle around the right end and under the bridge. The mini-box is at the base of the bridge and the ground, with a rock on top. Let me know the status of this box: babybearlb2002@yahoo.com
