From Atlanta, take I-75 South, to US hwy 19/41 South, exit 235.
Travel this highway about 21 miles until you get to Vineyard Road, just north of Griffin.
Turn left onto Vineyard Road. (This road will change to Dobbins Mill Road, and then to Dundee Lake Road, all within a two mile stretch of road, ending at Dundee Lake.)

Facing the lake, head right. Walk the treeline around the lake until you get to a fork-trunked pine tree. Stand with this pine in front of you and the tire behind you. Sight 90º to a trail on your right where some rocks are holding up a tree. Go to the trail-head and find the crooked old man. Check out his fall colour.
