Status = Removed on July 22, 2007 for maintenance. Will update when replaced.

This is a bonus box (in honor of my cat) placed in the same park as the 4 boxes which make up "Baron's Dog Walk." Please refer to "Baron's Dog Walk" for detailed directions to the Beltsville Community Center. Thank you to the girlguides for finding this park to place boxes and for the wonderfully creative stamps of Baron, Hanna, Gizmo and Doc.

Clues (two choices):
On your return trip back (toward the parking lot) from Exercise Station 13, count your footfalls for a century (I tend to have long paces). On your left, you will see a tree perfect for a kitty’s hideaway. “Sophie’s belly rub” can be found up the tree off the path.

Alternatively, start from the green bench just beyond Exercise Station 10 heading into the park (away from the parking lot). Count your footfalls for a century. To your right, you should be able to spot “Sophie’s” tree.

*UPDATE*: Please note that Sophie's belly rub is located off the path (perhaps about 20 feet in?). The "tree" in question has now completely fallen to the ground and can be hard to see with the current vegetation. Another good point of reference is a "pale" stump (about 10 foot high) which is next to the fallen tree. The box is located near the stump of the fallen tree and is currently covered by a piece of bark in the fallen tree. Be wary of poison ivy and as always use care in reaching into dark places.
