Take a chance and visit Fort Edgecomb and take in a breath taking view of the Sheepscot River. After climbing in the one building left on the property, stand at the entry. You will be looking down a long pathway towards the water. This path will split to the left and right. Take the right path where there is a high wood fence. Follow this around and at the end of the fence will be dirt mounds on your right. In the first opening of the dirt mound, turn and take the path through. You will see through the dirt mounds a small oak at the end of flat ledge rock. Go up to the tree and look to the right at a smaller tree. Climb around to the base of that smaller tree and you will find the Tropical Maine letterbox hidden. Enjoy the beautiful view.
