This letterbox is located on the parking lot to a trailhead along Squaw Pass Rd (Hwy 103) out of Evergreen.
Directions to the box are as follows:

1)Take Hwy 103 (Squaw Pass Rd) west off of Hwy 74 (Evergreen Pkwy).
2) Follow Squaw Pass Rd for approximately 6 miles.
3) Watch for Witter Gulch Rd on your left. It is on a curve so could be missed. You will see a parking lot and trailhead ("Mount Evans Scenic Byway" on the sign) on your right along a wooden fence.
4) Turn right into the parking lot and park.
5) From the gate in the center of the parking lot, count twelve X-shaped fence posts to the left.
6) Under the 12th fence post, you will find the letterbox "In Memory of Grandpa Norris." I placed it under 3 fist-sized rocks at the base of the fence post.

The letterbox was placed Father's Day weekend 2017, in memory of Grandpa Norris. Our whole family visited this location during Grandparents' last visit on Oct. 4, 2015 exactly one year before Grandpa Norris passed away Oct. 4, 2016. We love you and miss you Grandpa and Dad!

It's a gorgeous location to hike especially in fall when the aspen are quaking. There is a homemade stamp. Also a few mementos. Enjoy the contents and replace as found.
Thank you! Enjoy the hike!
