Visit our Garden Plot and enjoy this beautiful park and all it has to offer visitors to Tavares.
Park in the gravel parking lot
This park is here to "serve" you.
Go to court, and take a right, and you will see that it is play time.
But don't stop there! Walk past the playground and take a left.
You will soon meet the gatekeeper
Once you meet him, you can "go" left and you will see the plot. Or, go to the compost bin to see what is in season and take a right.
We are at Lucky Plot #7.
The name is there, just like the Golden Arches!
If you would like, water the plants and check the catnip and cilantro, or just meet Mr. Moss, who will let you know what is in "store." (Unfortunately, Mr. Moss's eyes and nose are a favorite with the squirrels.)
Remember to undo the garden chimes next to the garden cat so that we will know you stopped by!
If you would like to see more of Tavares, the park is also within walking distance of Wooten Park on lovely Lake Dora. There are restaurants and beautiful views of the lake. Visit the Splash Park and while you are there you may even see a steam engine--the Orange Blossom Cannonball.
