**Due to the summer monsoons, this letterbox has been damaged and is undergoing maintenance. Will post when hidden again**

In the small Arizona town of Cornville, you may not find corn, but you will find a park named after a windmill.

The park is the pride of our community. It is a gathering spot for our farmer’s market, Easter Egg Hunts and highway clean-up crews.

It is unclear if Don Quixote ever visited our park. But if he had, he would have brought a picnic lunch, walked the track and enjoyed the view of Oak Creek.

Once you enter the park, you will see the windmill standing tall. After you have parked your car, take the walking path by the windmill. Take a few minutes to read the two plaques on either side of the pathway. Continue down the path until you come to a green sign. Go left or right, it does not matter.

Continue on the track until you are exactly half way around. You will see several large trees to the east. The tree you are looking for isn’t the tallest, but it certainly has the biggest trunk. Being careful, climb over the small berm. Walk toward this tree. In the distance, across the small ravine, you will see another tree. This tree is special because it has three trunks. Under some rocks and twigs, you will find what you seek in a small opening on the side of the tree.

Beware of the creek. During heavy downpours, Oak Creek has been known to flood these parts. Also be careful of critters, scorpions and spiders.

Directions:
