This letterbox is named “Curious George” for the loveable monkey in the children’s book series. The box has been placed near the Foothills Branch of the Glendale Public Library (19055 N. 57th Avenue). This is a fairly busy library branch. It is also adjacent to a popular dog park, so please be as discrete as possible when pulling it out of its hiding place. This is letterbox is our family’s first foray into placing a box in AZ. We come here on vacation from Oregon maybe once a year, so we won’t be back to check on it often.

This should be an easy find for all. Enter the parking lot of the Foothills Branch library. Go all the way to the back of the parking lot. Turn your back to the front door of the library. The dog park should be on your right. Look for a boulder with a bush next to it. This boulder is situated between two trees. Find a stick in the area and use it to lift up the bush branches on the side opposite the parking lot and next to the boulder. Use a stick, because one never knows what kind of critters are hiding in the bushes. The letterbox is a plastic container in which we have left a little bonus or a small trinket for the first 12 people. Please only take one each. I don’t recommend giving this to a small child without an adult to help. It may look like candy to them, but it’s not.

P.S. Don’t forget your ink pad as we were afraid one left in the box would dry out quickly.
