These boxes are located on the walking trails behind Papa Gino's in smithfield (400 putnam pike). They are part of the bird sanctuary so please follow the rules posted at the begining of the trail.
Locate the trail on the side of the pine tree right before the rail fence. Follow the trail up the hill and between the stone wall. You will see two arrows on the tree in front of you. Follow the orange one. The trail is marked with orange dots on the trees. You will come to another "y" in the trail. Stay right and keep following the orange trail. You will come to a log laying on the left side of the trail. Look under the log to find the first letterbox!
Keep going on the orange trail. You will come to a third "y". Stay to the right again. You will come to a wooden bridge. At the first set of boards reach under the right side and you will find the second box!
Keep following the orange trail. You will then come to a stone wall. There will be a larger flat rock to your left. Under the rock will be the third box!
To get back to the entrance you can retrace the way you came or you can continue on the trail. You will come to yet another "y". Keep right and continue. At the final "y" take a left and you can leave the trail the same way you entered.
