ALL 3 BOXES PLACED BY ECO GIRLS ARE CURRENTLY MISSING. THEY WERE REMOVED BY THE NATURE CENTER 9/18/09

"Eco Girls" placed 3 letterboxes at the Emily Oaks Nature Center in Skokie, Illinois, in honor of a special birthday.
Box #1 is known as "Eco Girls"

Your starting place gives you all the rules.
At that first sign, take the path on your right.
The first time the path divides, you must forge ahead, do not look left or right.
Continue on the black, paved path. You will pass a place to sit and eat. Go on by.
As you move on, you will walk by a resting spot.

Then, when you get to the fork in the path, go to the left.
As you stroll through the woods, you will see a place for picnics and campfires.
On your left you will pass a “hole-ly” log.
When you finally arrive at the crossroads with an enormous tree and the rails of wood, you should turn to the right.

In a gap you will catch your first glimpse of the pond.
Stay to your right and follow the wooden fence for about 13 steps.
Look toward the pond for a fallen tree that would make a cozy home for a furry friend.
You should find what you’re looking for here.
