We placed these boxes to encourage people to explore Clark Kerr Campus of the University of California. Park near Warring and Parker Streets, where you can get two hours of free parking (longer than 2 hours and you risk a ticket). Head up (East) onto Clark Kerr Campus. Pass through that main building at the top of the driveway where there are bathrooms and a water fountain (or go around it if it's after-hours or a holiday. You will find yourself in a great courtyard, perfect for learning how to ride a two-wheeler with no training wheels. Great for skateboarding or roller skating or frisbee, too! Look for three benches with interesting tile work on them. Just around the corner from the benches, on the East side, is a letterbox, hidden underneath some vegetation (near the stair railing).
UPDATE: This one is still there as of June 1, 2010. We replaced the box and its innards, which were getting kind of moist, but look hard. The vegetation has grown a bit, but that's good, 'cause it hides the box from the maintenance crews, who might throw it out... Enjoy!
