This box is in Reid Park, located on 22nd and Alvernon, in Central Tucson.
Moderate!
These clues are designed to take you on a tour around some of the sights of Reid Park. If you want to find the letterbox directly, park by the Rose Garden and simply follow the clues referring to the Rose Garden.
If you want to walk around, park in the Reid Park Zoo parking lot, and then follow all of the clues to find the letterbox.
CLUES::
In the front of a house
for our fellow animals,
you'll find a colorful bird
with a long neck
Hitch a ride on this feathered friend
and then look to your right
at a trail that bends
Follow the path
cross the street
go up the grassy ground
and a huge duck pond will be in your sight
Walk around the lake, going to the left
and make your way up
to the very first rocky river that you see
continue to follow the rivers,
heading away from the zoo
A second lake will be to your left,
so stroll over to the river that
joins the two ponds
Standing by this river,
face the larger of the two
lakes-
you should see some large, upside down trees
that are a very unconventional color
Make your way around the lake to the crimson statues
and face in the opposite direction of the zoo
A palisaded congregation of roses
is not very far off,
so stride over to the flowers
and stand over by the front gate of their prison
Your prize is hidden in one of the many
"oil trees" around the gate
when you stand in front of the prize tree,
facing the rose garden front gate,
you can see a rather 'deformed' tree,
and no other "oil trees" between
you and the front gate
Happy Hunting...Enjoy
