This box can be found in Linden Park in Naugatuck, CT.
Directions: If you are traveling route 8 North get off exit 27. Turn left immediately after getting off the exit as if you are getting back on route 8 but then keep to the right after you go under the bridge to go into the park.
If you are traveling route 8 South get off exit 28 and go straight on North Main Street until you have just passed the Old Corner Cafe. Take a left as if you are going back onto route 8 but then keep to the right after going under the bridge to enter the park.
Clues: Drive into the parking lot past the skate board park and find yourself a parking spot. Find the brown gate next to the basketball courts with the sigh posted “No vehicles beyond this point.” On the other side of this gate is a paved walking path. Go straight on this path past the playground. You will soon notice a steep path in the brush on your left. (If you come to the first lamp post on your right you have gone too far.) Go down this steep path a very short distance until you come to a four fingered tree on your right. At this tree you must walk eight steps off the path to where you will find a large piece of concrete in you path. Step over the concrete and take three more steps to find a large rock jutting out of the earth. On the top of this rock you will notice a smooth round shaped rock which we have dubbed the “dinosaur egg.” Beneath the jutting rock their will be a pile of several smaller rocks. Under these rocks lies the box for which you are looking.
Please rehide carefully.
*** If you are letterboxing with children please note that this box is on the banks of the Naugatuck River and you should keep a close eye on your little ones.
