Just off Highway 81 at the Burley Municipal Golf Course Marina there is a road that leads to the boat docks. As you are driving down this road towards the docks the golf course is on either side of you. This is the location of the annual Boat Regatta, held during the last full weekend in June.
The Burley Boat Regatta (AKA: Burger King Idaho Regatta) is a not-for-profit community event. The Idaho Regatta Committee works year around to make this event an exciting and unforgettable experience. Racing teams can expect beautiful weather, excellent water conditions, and homegrown hospitality. Race fans can expect 3 days of fun in the sun while meeting racers face-to-face and socializing with friends - not to mention some of the most intense competition on the APBA racing circuit. Founded by Don Moyle in 1975, the Idaho Regatta has the flavor of a first class professional racing event mixed with the personal touch that only a small town can deliver.
Once you enter the parking lot stay to the left. Park over by the fence that separates the golf course from the marina. Follow the fence through the grass area to the wooded area. Once you get to the wooded area go to the first big tree on the left. Look at the base of this tree under a cement block.
Be careful reaching for the letterbox, be discrete, and as always, re-hide the box well. Good luck and happy boating!
