This box is one of the first we placed in what we hope to be "Our Favorite Pit Stops" series (all the best spots for a potty break to or from Anchorage).
Park at the senic rest area at Hope Junction.
Walk to the foot bridge.
Stand on the line.
Turn left.
Walk off the trail, past the railing.
About 7 steps to the flat white rock.
Stand on the rock.
Look right.
See through the mass of downed trees the tall stump.
Box is infront of stump covered with moss and sticks.
Sit on one of the benches
and enjoy the view from the bridge while you stamp
Can you believe this bridge was it for years?! Imagine driving past semi trucks on this thing on ice in the middle of January when both sides were packed with snow! Those were the days.
This box was maintenanced on May 21, 2008. The original book was wet so I left some temporary paper to stamp on until I put a new book in.
