In a community named after brothers, Edward & Walter, who settled an area in the 1870’s that has never been incorporated, has no boundaries, or legal status. Developing a large silver mine operation with the Total Wreck Mine in the Empire Mountains near the “Town Between the Tracks.”

In its heyday, the early 1900’s, this was a storage area for ore from the Helvetia Copper Mine and cattle shipping.

It was not long before the students needed a place to learn, originally near the Pantano wash. Later finding a permanent location, across from St. Rita is the oldest school in the area.

Follow a dirt road west between the northern most tracks and the old school to a fenced in cemetery. From the southeast corner of the fence (opposite the gate) walk 20 steps south to a large mesquite tree. The box is located on the southwest side of the tree under branches and rocks. Please rehide the box well.
