Rye Preserve is 8.4 miles from the intersection of I-75 and SR 64.
At the end of the ramp, go East on 64 3.7 miles.
Turn left on Rye RD
Go almost 3 miles and turn left on Upper Manatee River RD. Turn right into canoe/skiff launch.
It will be marked as the orange trail.
Take the left at the fork. Find a spot to park that is not blocking the boat launch.
Take the orange trail.
Come to a concrete beam.
Keep on walking until you come to a clearing.
Walk alongside the barbed wire fence going towards the road.
As you look to your left, you will see a tall, dead tree stump.
Behind the stump,on the left, there are tall pond fronds sticking out of 2 pineapple palm trees.
Walk back to the palm tree that is the furthest away (of the 2)
Find moss part way up the tree.
Underneath is the Rye Train
