reported "not found" after recent rains.
HWY 71 North past Bentonville. Thru stop light at County Road 40. Parking lot for Bella Vista Trail is on your right.
Facing the lake, take trail to your right.
After mile marker 1.0 you will pass the old metal and white building that use to house the Bella Vista TV station. 15 paces further down the trail you will find a dirt foot path to your right. Take this until it dead ends at the rock formation. In wet weather there will be a waterfall. Watch out for several wasp nests on rock wall.
Follow this rock shelter all the way to the right. It will lead you straight to 2 trees with pockets at the roots that would be great for hiding the letterbox...go around these trees. 15 paces further look at the base of the rock formation. Stones are piled to hide the letterbox at the base of the rock formation.
If you continue back on the main path, it will loop back to the parking lot (total distance is 1.8 miles) and will pass a park. This trail is great for children and leashed dogs. Bring some bread for the ducks and geese!
