No ifs ands or butts-Handcarved

Driving Directions: From The Clock Tower in Sharon, Ct at the junction of Route 41 /343, Head EAST up Route FOUR 2.2 miles, and take a right into Sharon Audubon Center, Bear right to park at entrance.

Clues: Go to trail map sign, and take grass path SOUTH along the split rail fence, There will be a small stream on your right, follow to end. Keep right at end of path onto Bog Meadow Road, go over bridge by the dam with the sugar house on your left. Bear left to Fern Trails (orange Blaze). Take another left at Fern Trail with the pond on your LEFT. (Be sure to notice the trees marked along the way-it’s a great way to learn your leaves!) a new duck blind has been built along this trail as well.
Keep straight on Fern Trail at the intersection of Bog Meadow and Fern. Then go left at the next intersection onto Hendrickson Bog Meadow Trail(White Blaze) and over a wooden footbridge that leads to a small stream (that is easily crossable without getting your shoes wet!) So Cross over and continue on the trail and bear LEFT at intersection of Bog Meadow and Woodchuck Trail(yellow Blaze). Follow Yellow Blaze(Woodchuck T.) over another footbridge to Yellow Blaze with black arrows, go RIGHT up the hill follow arrows on Yellow Blaze to field with a grassy path. Follow to top to a wooden bench. Have a seat and enjoy the view of Sharon. Look to your right, while sitting on this bench and see a large Birch Tree. At the base of this tree under a pile of rocks tucked in its roots find No Ifs ands or butts letterbox. Please rehide carefully. Please do not leave exposed. You can go back the way you came or loop around Woodchuck T. to get back to your car.
