Glendale Farms Open Space
From Denver Area: I25 South to exit 190 Surrey Ridge Rd, Left at T intersection, Left at Stop sign, Right into Glendale Farm entrance.
North bound folk take exit 190 and the park entrance will be right in front of you.
Be sure to bring your COMPASS, your going to need it.
Kid and dog friendly, but I would have to say NO to strollers.
30-40 minute trip.
My pace is based off a 30 inch step. I’m of average height, so this should give you and ideal of pace distance.
Begin your fun at the SE trailhead in the parking lot. This trail is 1.6 miles. Right at the Y intersection. I got to see all kinds of critters on this trail to include a coyote, some antelope, and prairie dogs. Right at the next Y intersection. Start your search at the 2nd bench. Sit on the bench facing N. 340 degrees-18 paces. 250 degrees-22 paces. 170 degrees-13 paces. 100 degrees-27 paces. 10 degrees-12 paces. Look familiar? 130 degrees-8 paces. Look down into scrub oak and you well find Run-A-Muk. There is a bonus to this letterbox so check it out!
Short-cut: Same trail head take left at Y intersection and then a Left at the next Y intersection. Start at the 2nd bench then 130 degrees-8 paces.
