This is the start of 14 letterboxes total, with one box in each of 13 different international towns in Maine (e.g. Poland, Peru, Rome, etc.), and one near the famous signpost in Lynchville. These letterboxes are designed to be quick and relatively easy to find, none of them taking more than about a half hour round trip, and most of them taking 10 minutes or less.
Each Letterbox clue is titled: Worldwide Maine - ???? and is listed individually. In the future, I hope to add one more town: Denmark.
The Signpost
At the intersection of Rte's 5 and 35 in Lynchville Maine. Park at the sign, but cross Route 5. Head to the right a short ways. Cross the 'bridge' over the stream. On the downstream side, go to the cement base of the bridge climbing over the guard rail. Take about 18 paces along a path away from the bridge. Find a tripartite of trees; one 'leg' of which holds the box. Look under debris and rock. Please rehide well!
Note: This Letterbox was planted by "girglemonster" in 2005. Permission was given to recarve the original image.
Hike length: 0.1 miles
