****MISSING**** We will replace asap!

Clues: Easy
Hike: Dog Friendly, kid friendly easy hike, practically a drive by, but there are stairs

This is a hill with beautiful views of Mt. Diablo, voted best stargazing spot in contra costa county. There are no dinosaurs here, the local rocks being mostly of Neogene age, just a great place to sit and take in the beauty of the Diablo Valley.

You can get here from either Hwy 24 or 680. From 24 you want to take Pleasant Hill rd. north, after going past a high school and up a hill the road will split stay to the left on Taylor blvd. a few miles later will be the park on the right with a small parking lot. From 680 take Willow Pass Rd/Sunvalley Mall exit, coming north you make a left at the end of the off ramp going, south you make a right this puts you on Willow Pass which will turn into Taylor, after a few miles you will have to make a u turn at Withers (there is a signal here) the park entrance will be on your right.

Once you park take the stairs to the top of the hill where there are several clusters of rocks, if you stand in the middle of the rocks and look at Mt. Diablo turn 180˚ and find the boulder between 2 oaks, in a crevice in the middle you will find what your looking for. Please rehide carefully as this park sees a lot of traffic and email us to let us know how it’s doing!

Enjoy the park and the view!
