Location : Mansfield Hollow , Mansfield, CT Difficulty : short and easy
From Rt. 195, turn onto Bassetts Bridge Road, when you can see the dike on the right, go slightly past it and pull into a small ( 2 - 3 car) parking area. Go around the yellow gate and walk 45 paces until you come to the red blazed trail on the left. Follow the trail a short ways until just before you get to the road. Look to the right for a large pine tree that has one trunk and splits in two a short way up. The Mother/Daughter letterbox is in the southeastern base of this tree, covered with pine needles.
