This letterbox is in Northwest Washington, in the Barnaby Woods Neighborhood. Travel northward on Oregon Avenue until you reach Beech Street (not to be confused with Beech Drive. Park on Beech, and returning to Oregon Avenue, proceed a short distance until you reach the Pinehurst Trail on the right. The letterbox is about a half mile down the trail. The trail is marked with yellow blazes on the trees. You should cross the stream several times. Later the trail will go over a barred culvert, and further on there are steep banks on the right where in wintertime, long icicles grow. At one point the trail has steps going down to cross the stream and you can see four fallen trees in the distance. Follow the trail past the broken pipe to the four overturned trees. The Pinehurst Branch Letterbox is hidden in the hole under the roots of the fallen tree to the immediate left of the fallen beech tree.
