Find the park where the cold springs flow
through a city called Thundermist named by the Narragansett Indians long ago
In 1905 a cobblestone tower was constructed over the spring
where residents would gather water with buckets they would bring
From this tower proceed down the path leading SW
until you reach two cobblestone sentries then turn left
Follow the path uphill while looking down upon a stream
which meanders towards the river to where the canoe launch can be seen
Bear left at the old oak and continue southward
stop at the first cluster of rocks on the eastern slope
Climb up to the two trees sharing the same bark
Thundermist is hidden at the trunks bend under a rock
Hike length: 0.5 miles
