This box is located in Brown County State Park.
Difficulty rating: 1 - Easy. In plain sight or can be found in a few minutes of searching.
Terrain rating: 3 - Steep elevation changes would make this difficult to traverse with a stroller.
(rated using the Letterbox Rating System - http://www.letterboxing.info/rating/key.php)
Clues:
*** this box has been reported missing ***
Begin your search at the start of Trail 2, and walk between the Tawney Apple and Lafe Bud cabins. You will soon come to the sign for Trail 3 -- follow it. Continue on Trail 3 until you come to a bridge. If you'd like to do some critter hunting, this is a good spot. We found turtles, frogs and salamanders in the creek bed. Continue on the trail up the hill. At the top, you will find a series of rails supporting the path on the left. Go to the second to last log in the series. You will find 'A Little Note' under the first post of this log.
To return, you can either continue on the trail (it makes a loop) or go back the way you came.
This box was placed during the annual summer retreat of the Noblesville First United Methodist Chancel Choir. Each summer, we visit a different Indiana State Park and spend a couple of days learning our music for the next 'semester' of choir.
