Directions:
Located at 10309 New Hampshire Avenue, three blocks north of the Capitol Beltway.
(1) From the Capitol Beltway (I-495), use Exit 28 north on New Hampshire Avenue.
(2) Turn right in three blocks onto Oaklawn Drive.
(3) Turn right into the parking lot at the bottom of the hill.
(4) On the east side of the driveway leading into the parking lot is the entrance to the Nature Trail.
**The trail is short, but not even and sometimes partially covered with low brush.**
As you walk on the Nature Trail, look for the small footbridge. Just before you leave the bridge, look to the left of the 2nd to last plank. But don't stop there...give the end of the footbridge a good look. The box seems to creep along the edges a little bit looking for higher, drier ground sometimes.
From here, you can either go back the way you came in or you can keep walking forward and exit into the parking lot via steps set into the hillside on the right.
